Isigny Mimolette: Unavailable for almost all of 2014 due to importing restrictions, we’re thrilled to be able to offer this beautiful cow’s milk cheese for Bastille Day this year! Shaped like a cannonball, this brilliantly orange gouda-style cheese features a smooth texture and notes of roasted nuts.
Champs Elysses Brie: This double-créme French Brie is luscious, buttery and decadent, made from grass-fed cow’s milk.
Fourme d’Ambert: This raw cow’s milk blue is made following traditional recipes, with a natural rind and thick, creamy texture. It features a cylindrical shape and boasts flavors of sweet cream and mushrooms.
All of these cheeses are decadently delicious, but if you’re worried about the calories and fat they contain, take some tips from Oh La La!! French Cheese!, written by our resident nutrition expert, Dr. Liz Applegate. You'll learn more about the unexpected health benefits of French cheeses, and the phenomenon known as the “French paradox” — we think you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
