The world of cheese got extra delicious this weekend at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of California’s Artisan Cheese Festival. This celebration of all things cheese featured opportunities to meet cheese-makers, local farm tours, live demos and the main event: the Cheesemongers’ Duel.

Four Nugget Markets cheese specialists rose to the challenge and competed against more than 20 different cheesemongers from other area markets large and small. The competition was fierce but good taste prevailed, and we are thrilled to congratulate Christina S. from our Davis store on Mace Blvd. for winning second place for People's Choice with her tasty cheese creation!

Huge thanks to cheese specialists Sabrah N. from our Woodland location, Robin L. from Fork Lift in Cameron Park and Cathy B. from our Tiburon location for competing in the event, and to Emily A. from our Davis store on Covell Blvd. and Rebekah B., our cheese director, for supporting! This was a wonderful community event to be a part of and we are so proud of our talented cheesemongers!
