Taylor’s Gold Pears owe their roots to sweet serendipity in New Zealand. A natural mutation of the Comice pear, Taylor’s Gold was discovered on an island orchard in 1986. Known worldwide as the “orchard of the Pacific,” New Zealand has optimal conditions for growing healthy, hearty fruit, including plenty of sun, moderate temperatures and clean, unspoiled nature.
These luscious pears are only in season from late April to June, so pick some up while you still can!
