Founded recently in 2015, Stuyt Dairy Farmstead Cheese Company is carrying on a tradition more than four generations in the making. Co-owners Ansally and Rick both come from dairy-farming families (hers from California, his from the Netherlands), and now their kids are in on the action as well, with daughters Michelle and Anastasia running their new cheese-making venture.

Stuyt Dairy in Escalon, California produces a variety of raw milk flavored Goudas, which they age for 2-4 months. Though these cheeses have been in production for only a year, they’ve already been awarded a gold medal at the California State Fair cheese competition! Look for their original Gouda as well as Jalapeño and Onion Parsley varieties in our specialty cheese department (selection will vary by store).
