After successfully reading all those fantastic novels, it’s time to go wild and celebrate! What does that mean? This month, instead of traditional novels we’re exploring all sorts of other storytelling formats. If you like a good picture book, pick up a graphic novel, comic book or manga. Love the silver screen? Find the screenplay for your favorite movie or series. Classic plays, poetry, myths and legends or books in other languages are also fantastic ways to give your book club a novel twist.
When you set the table for this one-off on a book club, blaze a new trail with your beverage selection, too. Can Can Cocktails, created by a local Sacramento artist/bartender, are a fresh way to enjoy mixed drinks, and if you’re reading Shakespearean sonnets, Simi Stacked Chardonnay sure stacks poetic! For a truly untraditional taste, check out Seven Stills PBMS Peanut Butter Flavored Whiskey, or if you happen to have manga as your reading pleasure, pair with Ramuné Soda for a fun, nonalcoholic option.
When it comes to take your snacking spread off the beaten track, there’s no shortage of unique, seasonal and tasty items you can discover in our aisles. As just one example, you can make your book club literally pop with a pack of limited edition Firework Oreos with popping candy in the cream!
For other delicious snacking and sipping suggestions, drop by your local Nugget Markets. And whatever you choose to read, remember it’s Wild Card Month, so have fun and go wild!
