Oh, those summer nights! Even when the days are hot, more often than not, the warm summer evenings end up being just right. Make the most of your summer get-togethers before or after the sun goes down with quality wines that go great with everything from picnics and cookouts to summer itself.

Cline Pinot Noir: The fruit used to make this wine comes from the Petaluma Gap area of Southern Sonoma County. The cooling costal winds allow for a long, even growing season which gives the grapes plenty of time to maximize aromas and flavors. Since 1982, the Cline family has been sustainably farming their vineyards to promote and enhance biodiversity.
Quinta Da Aveleda Vinho Verde: Not just our favored pick, this wine is also consistently named one of Wine Enthusiast’s top three “Best Value” wines of the year. While it is light-bodied with a slight effervescence, it has a big personality. A great go-to summer wine, it has notes of lemon and lime citrus fruits, a creamy smooth mouthfeel and a long lingering finish.
Domaine Vetriccie Rosé: This French rosé hails from the Island of Corsica, where the winery is nestled between the mountains and the sea on the coast. Made with local, indigenous grapes with a splash of Merlot and Grenache, as well, this wine is dominated by vibrant strawberry and melon notes. Serve this outstanding value rosé lightly chilled at a picnic or cook-out.
Coppola Diamond Collection Chardonnay: The 2015 was just voted “Best Chardonnay” at the California State Fair wine competition. Tropical fruit tones of guava, melon and apple lead the way, with undertones of caramel and butterscotch. Grab a bottle before it is gone and see if you agree with the judges!
