On the “boos” front, it’s easy to stay on theme with blood red wine like HobNob Wicked Red Blend, Bogle Phantom, Apothic Red or The Seven Deadly Zins. You can also pick up a bottle of Heretic Shallow Grave beer or, for a non-alcoholic option, Dead World Premium Orange Zombie Soda.
Flesh out your snack spread with sweet Halloween candy like sour gummy worms, candy corn or Moonstruck Chocolate Halloween Truffles, and savory snacks like Boo Chips and Freaky Fromage. Then throw in some diabolical décor like pumpkins, skeleton props and dry ice (be careful!) to create an extra eerie ambience.
Even if you’re not a fan of the typical Horror genre, there are plenty of ghostly stories that run the gamut from slightly unsettling to downright terrifying. Turn the page on creepy classics like Dracula by Bram Stoker or Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, or a spooky spin on a classic like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith. This is also the perfect chance to read almost anything by Stephen King, Dean Koontz or R.L. Stine, or a nonfiction title like Stiff by Mary Roach.
