VillaViva Rosé: This 100% Carignan rosé from the south of France is made from grapes grown in soils comprised of fossilized oyster beds, limestone and gravel. It all adds up to a pale rosé with crisp red fruit notes of cherry and watermelon with a zesty and refreshing finish. Serve slightly chilled for maximum enjoyment.
Cline Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast: Family owned and sustainably farmed since 1982, the Cline wines always over-deliver for the price, and this pinot noir is no exception. Grapes from Sonoma County bring an elegance to this wine with layers of raspberry, chocolate and a nice subtle finish. If you are ever in the Carneros area, this winery is well worth a visit.
Tangent Sauvignon Blanc: Don’t be fooled by the fact this wine comes in a can. It’s made from grapes grown in Tangent’s SIP-certified vineyards in Edna Valley. The close proximity to the Pacific Ocean keeps the bright fruit notes right at the forefront of the palate, with just a slight grassy, herbal note for an added layer of complexity. The portable packaging is just a bonus.
De Chansac Rosé: This lovely rosé has been a favorite of ours since we first came across it a few years ago. Made with the Cinsault grape grown in the south of France, it has a light pink hue with flavors of strawberry and lychee. It is not only a great summer sipper, but a terrific barbecue wine, as well.
Dancing Coyote Grüner Veltliner: This family-run winery grows most of their grapes in the Clarksburg region, just south of downtown Sacramento. While the Grüner Veltliner grape is mostly grown in Austria, it likes the cooler Clarksburg area and the nighttime Delta Breeze. This easy-drinking, medium-bodied wine boasts pleasant peach and citrus notes, with a crisp mineral finish.
