This month’s wine list is a great complement to the autumn mood, with wines from world-renowned appellations and award-winning flavors of dark, ripe fruits, apple and pear, plus something a little spooky for Halloween...
Brotte “Les Hauts de Barville” Châteauneuf Du Pape: This wine is from the terrific 2016 vintage. It is loaded with ripe fruit notes from the aroma to the finish. Rated 92 points by Wine Enthusiast, this vintage has provided an integrated acidity and tannin structure to bring a nice elegance to the wine.
Arbor Bench Cabernet Sauvignon: Just 300 cases of this delicious wine were produced in the 2014 vintage, from grapes grown in the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. Deep black fruits are accented by just a touch for vanilla oak notes. Get it before it's gone—this one will not last long!
Bread & Butter Chardonnay: We know the name might seem a little cheesy, but this is a seriously good wine at a good price. It boasts a classic balance of apple, pear and citrus fruits with hints of caramel and sweet butter.
Cline Farmhouse Red: Named after the Green String Farm in Petaluma where sustainable farming is taught, this red blend is naturally delicious. It's medium-bodied with dark cherry and blackberry notes, plus a hint of black pepper.
7 Deadly Zins: While the name and label might be frightening and spooky, there is nothing terrifying about the wine. Consistently well-made year after year, this easy-drinking zinfandel has notes of raspberry, chocolate and vanilla oak spice.
