From the Heart
What you’ll need:
- 8 shot glasses or votive cups
- 22 carnations
- 6–8 votive candles
Fill glasses with a little water. Place three carnations each in seven of the glasses, and the remaining one in the last glass—this will be the bottom point. Arrange the glasses evenly around to create the shape of a heart, then place votive candles in between leaving enough space to keep the flowers safe from the flames.
Beauty & the Feast
What you’ll need:
- Wine glass with wide opening
- Votive cup or shot glass
- Candle
- 3 carnations or other flowers
Fill small glass with water. Cut the flower stems down to an inch and arrange evenly in the small glass. Turn wine glass over the arrangement and place candle on top. Pro Tip: Use a variety of wine glass sizes to create an amazing centerpiece for your dining table.
Sundae Fun Day
What you’ll need:
- Banana split glassware
- 2 small votive cups or shot glasses
- 6 white carnations
- 2 red carnations
- 2 toothpicks
- 4 heart stickers
Fill small glasses with water. Place three white carnations in each small glass, with one red carnation in the middle of each. Sandwich the tip of each toothpick with two heart stickers, then insert the toothpick in the center of each red carnation. Place the small arrangements in the banana split glassware.
Pitcher This
What you’ll need:
- Short pitcher
- Tulips
Fill a short pitcher with water and floral food. Place enough clean and trimmed tulips in the pitcher to fill the opening (we used 20 stems for this arrangement). If you don’t have enough tulips, use other flowers or greens to fill the spaces.
On the Rocks
What you’ll need:
- Cylindrical vases
- River rocks, marbles or glass stones
- Tulips
Rinse river rocks, marbles or glass stones under water to clean off any dirt or dust. Fill your vases with about an inch of water. Carefully place two layers of stones at the bottom. Use a paper towel to wipe the inside of the vase and remove any water droplets. Using a long stick, make a spot to insert a tulip between the stones. One by one, place cleaned and trimmed tulips in the spaces you created. Pro Tip: Use an odd number of tulips, and keep an eye on the water line as you may need to refresh with water daily.
Into the Woods
What you’ll need:
- Short vase
- Branches
- Tulips
Cut branches to desired height. Loosely fill container with upright branches in a water-filled vase. Place cleaned and trimmed tulips in the vase between the branches, allowing the branches to help hold the tulips upright.
Blooming Branches
What you’ll need:
- Large heavy vase (or place decorative stones at the bottom of a regular vase for extra weight)
- Blooming branches
- Heart shapes cut from cardstock
- Hole punch
- String or ribbon
Place blooming branches in your vase filled with water and floral food. Make heart-shaped ornaments to hang on your blossoming tree. For extra fun, have family or friends write on the hearts the things that they love.
