At Nugget Markets, we love celebrating local producers who bring us delicious, high-quality products from our very own communities. This Labor Day weekend, float the day away with River City Soda, a local soda pop made the way soda should be!

Husband and wife team, Bob and Janet from Sacramento, have worked together to bring true classic sodas to market for over a decade. After a successful stint in the distribution business helping retailers sell their favorite specialty sodas all over Northern California, they decided to step out of their role as middleman and become the supplier themselves. 

Bob and Janet created a line of sodas that met their high standards for what soda should be when it comes to flavor, texture and creaminess. Also, they wanted to create the best root beer float this side of the Sierras! In 2007, River City Root Beer was born and Nugget Markets brought them on right away. Since then they’ve added other signature flavors: Ginger Beer, Orange Cream and Blueberry Lemonade. You can find all four flavors at Nugget Markets with the other specialty sodas in the ready-to-drink cold case or in the aisle. 

Whether you drink them straight from the bottle or you add your favorite ice cream flavor, River City Sodas should not be missed!
