Sartori Tennessee Whiskey BellaVitano + DAOU Cabernet Sauvignon
Recommended by our Davis (Mace Blvd.) wine and cheese team
This pairing is great as a party appetizer before or after dinner. With flavors of boysenberry, cherry and cocoa mixed with a rich, smoky leather feel, this wine balances the cheese’s nutty, buttery and caramel notes and the added kick of Tennessee Whiskey in the rind.
Sartori Espresso BellaVitano + Boisset Bourgogne Aligoté “Les Moutots” Chardonnay
Recommended by our Sacramento wine and cheese team
Satiate your craving for sweet and salty goodness with this complex combo. The espresso cheese offers a nutty, creamy texture with a slight earthy bitterness, while the aromatic chutney and light saltiness of the crisps create a coffee and biscotti-like experience. Clean, bright and refreshing, this French chardonnay has a slightly bitter finish that pairs well with the overall sweetness, with acidity that cleanses your mouth in preparation for the next bite!
Nettle Meadow Sappy Ewe + Moniz Family Wines Park Avenue Napa Valley Cabernet Franc
Recommended by our Roseville (Blue Oaks Blvd.) wine and cheese team
This local, family-owned winery produces wines from California’s premium wine growing regions that consistently over-deliver on quality for the price. This hidden gem is perfectly balanced and medium to full- bodied with mild, easy-drinking tannins. Ripe, juicy notes of blueberry and blackberry lead, followed by warm notes of pepper and fresh herbs. As for the cheese, cheesemakers first coat sheep and cow’s milk curds with an Adirondack maple reduction. After aging to bloomy rind perfection in the aging cave, they pat them with edible pine black ash for a dramatic finish, creating flavors that pair perfectly with the wine.
Pierre Robert Triple Crème + Dry Creek Chenin Blanc
Recommended by our Sonoma Market (Sonoma) wine and cheese team
The soft, creamy richness of the triple crème works in perfect harmony with the zippy acidity and tropical fruity overtones of this dry wine. Add in the crispness and slight saltiness of the crackers to complete the whole experience. Enjoy this anytime pairing with brunch or before lunch or dinner.
Jacquin Le Crottin Champignou + Louis Jadot 2018 Pinot Noir
Recommended by our Tiburon wine and cheese team
This cheese is perfect for making a classic Salade de Chèvre Chaud (hot goat cheese salad). Simply slice the cheese into 2–3 equal rounds, coat in breadcrumbs and pan-fry until golden brown, then serve on top of mixed greens with tomatoes. Enjoy with a glass of chilled wine to be whisked away to France with every bite.
