- Use marinades for healthy grilling and to cut carcinogenic effects of grilling.
- Marinades with olive oil and citrus can reduce carcinogenic grilling effects by 98%.
- No need to stick to just meats—grilled veggies with olive oil, salt and pepper are delicious.
- Don’t forget corn on the grill—it should be soaked for about 30 minutes in the husk.
- Kebabs with lean meat and veggies on skewers (soak wooden skewers)—these cook quickly because of the smaller meat pieces.
- Use lean meats and fish—salmon, tuna, chicken, ground turkey burgers, soy burgers, tofu dogs, Portobello mushrooms.
