Sandwiches aren’t just our bread and (peanut) butter, they’re our jam! That’s right, folks, it’s peanut butter jelly time. A household staple for nearly a century, the humble PB&J has since evolved into variations like the AB&P (almond butter and preserves), WB&M (walnut butter and marmalade) and any other acronym that tickles your taste buds! Give your lunch course some extra credit with these delicious ideas.
The PB: If you want pure peanuts representing your sandwich, you’ll go nuts for Crazy Richard’s Peanut Butter, made by a Certified B Corporation with 100% dry-roasted peanuts. And if you’re all about almonds, make your sandwich with MaraNatha Almond Butter, featuring all-natural California-grown almonds plus sustainably sourced palm oil for super spreadable, no-stir deliciousness.
PRO PB TIPS:
- To keep your bread from getting soggy before lunchtime, spread both slices with the nut or seed butter of your choice before adding a sweet spread in between.
- For extra flavor and texture, make your PB (or AB, etc.) extra crunchy with the addition of nuts or seeds!
The J: Up the ante on the childhood favorite with Bonne Maman’s authentic fruit spreads, made in France with simple, premium ingredients like the finest non-GMO fruit. Or if you’re looking for a lower sugar option, keep things sweet with Good Good No Added Sugar Jams & Jellies, made with whole fruits and no artificial flavors, all naturally sweetened with stevia. Let’s jam!
PRO J TIPS:
- Add fresh fruit to your PB&J for an extra juicy pop of flavor in every bite. Whether you use corresponding or contrasting flavors is up to you!
- You can also make your own DIY J(am) in four fruity variations with this easy recipe!
The Other B: While we all love a good slice of cloud-soft, ultra-fluffy classic white bread, that’s hardly the only option when it comes to outstanding sandwiches! Build your PB&J with a base of something that brings its own flavor, like a cinnamon raisin swirl, a beautiful braided challah, sprouted whole wheat or something fresh-baked from scratch from our Bakery!
PRO B TIPS:
- Try toasting your bread before building your sandwich for a crispy outer texture and a warm, melty filling.
- If you’re buying fresh bread from our Bakery, one of our awesome associates can slice it for you then and there—all you have to do is ask!
