From everyday staples like bread and bagels to celebratory eats and seasonal treats, our Bakery is here to make life a little sweeter! Like in our Kitchen, many of our offerings are scratch-made and baked on-site so you can enjoy them fresh.
Our Bakery Department started to become what it is today in 1996, when we began making artisan breads, pastries, and desserts in-store. This new focus involved bringing on whole teams of wee-hour bread mixers and pastry bakers. We eventually developed recipes for all sorts of bread staples (from French-inspired rustic bread to hand-dimpled focaccia) to be hand-shaped and baked fresh daily with artisan flour. For our sourdough in specific, we sourced decades-old starter for that characteristic tang, and continued to nurture that same starter for decades, too!
Our breads aren’t the only thing made by hand! Our croissants and Danishes feature Plugrá butter (which we chose for its European-style higher butterfat content and quality) and are rolled and cut with love by our talented crew! Our cookies, muffins, bars, bagels, and more are also made by our team—so are the cakes, down to the decorations!
