Just barely released to be sold on the open market, this fantastic new rustic–style blue is already an award winner—namely third place at the 2012 American Cheese Society and first place at the 2012 World Dairy Expo! Oh, and did we mention that we’re the first in the area to carry it? Hailing from Point Reyes Farmstead, this fantastic cheese is reminiscent of the English classic, Stilton. Mild in flavor, with a hint of sweetness on the finish, Bay Blue is made with pasteurized rBST–free milk and is certified gluten free. For a classical beverage pairing, try it with Warre's Warrior porto wine. And by the way, it melts incredibly well, making it a must on a steak or burger, or you can match it with poached pears and a light drizzle of honey for a decadent treat!
