When the days get shorter and the leaves start to change color, you know it’s time for Nugget’s fall favorites to make a comeback in our delis. First up: our favorite seasonal tubers, yams and sweet potatoes! Try our yams with bacon–sherry vinaigrette and our sweet potato salad. Also a favorite with our guests are our green bean sides—our green beans with pecorino cheese and our sesame green beans offer up a pleasant crunch. Fall is the perfect time for roasting vegetables, and we have five roasted favorites on the menu for you: our roasted Brussels sprouts with pancetta, roasted broccoli with fire–roasted red peppers, turmeric–roasted cauliflower, roasted red potato salad and roasted root vegetables. Harvest time also means that it’s time for pot pies, and this year we have them in spades! Our beef, chicken, turkey and shepherd’s pies are available in individual or family sizes. And last but certainly not least, meatloaf is one of my fall favorites, and we have our Fresh to Market meatloaf available sliced, in mini loaves or as “meatloaf cupcakes,” complete with a swirl of mashed potato “frosting”! • STAZI DULMAN, CEC, CCE, Executive Chef (Kitchens)
