From the historic Laura Chenel Chèvre Company comes a great new line of flavored Chèvres. Originally founded in the late 1970s, Laura Chenel was a true goat cheese pioneer, whose classic Chèvre achieved fame when served on the iconic Warmed Goat Cheese Salad at Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley. Having recently opened their new facility in the Carneros region of Sonoma County, they have released some amazing new cheeses: the Honey Chèvre, Chopped Olive Chèvre and Truffle Chèvre.

Whenever fall comes around, I always think about warm, hearty foods and rich alpine cheeses like Gruyere, Comte and even Emmentaler. But then I remember a little–known treasure that I always seem to forget about: Appenzeller.
