From the historic Laura Chenel Chèvre Company comes a great new line of flavored Chèvres. Originally founded in the late 1970s, Laura Chenel was a true goat cheese pioneer, whose classic Chèvre achieved fame when served on the iconic Warmed Goat Cheese Salad at Chez Panisse restaurant in Berkeley. Having recently opened their new facility in the Carneros region of Sonoma County, they have released some amazing new cheeses: the Honey Chèvre, Chopped Olive Chèvre and Truffle Chèvre.
The first time I tasted Creminelli Salami, it was love at first bite! I mean, what’s not to love? All–natural ingredients; humanely raised, vegetarian–fed animals; and time–tested, authentic Italian recipes, some of which are rumored to date back to the 1600s.
Ever wonder what it would be like to make your own cheese? Well you’re in luck: with just a gallon of milk and the Roaring Brook Dairy Mozzarella Kit, you’ll have everything you need to get started!
Sue Conley and Peggy Smith, two longtime friends and true foodies, founded Cowgirl Creamery in the early 1990s. Looking for a new adventure, they began making cheese in a restored barn in the quaint coastal town of Point Reyes Station in Marin County.
Once upon a time, Cindy Callahan needed a way to keep her pasture grasses under control, so she bought sheep. That one innocent act triggered what her son Liam calls, “a series of events that placed our family at the forefront of the American revival in artisan cheese making. It also tapped into the best in each of us, and resulted in work that feels more like a creative process than toll and labor.” Bellwether’s philosophy is simple; use the highest quality milk available to make the best cheeses possible. Cindy and her family bring us some of the best Ricotta we’ve ever tasted, and we’re proud to carry this world-class cheese in Nugget Markets. Liam challenged us to, “Take a bite out of any of our cheeses, and you’ll taste the difference one family’s commitment to quality can make,” and we couldn’t agree more!
