Our Fresh to Market all-natural, pure, raw and local honey is in stores now! Join us as we take a trip to the farm, for an inside look into the world of a beekeeper.
Bees are downright amazing. They communicate with each other through dance, they evaporate water from honey in their hives by flapping their wings, and they visit more than 2 million blossoms just to create one pound of honey. During a bees quest for nectar, it collects and spreads pollen, playing a critical role in pollinating our local farmlands.
Congratulations to our guest Arabelle Jackson of Rocklin! Arabelle took our Price Survey in August and walked away with a $1,000 Nugget Markets gift card. In her survey, Arabelle compared Nugget’s prices to Bel Air’s, and Nugget’s price total of $73.20 beat Bel Air’s total of $94.43, a savings of $21.23.
“Taking the survey was fun and very informative,” says Arabelle. “But I wasn’t surprised at the results, as that’s one of the reasons why I shop at Nugget – the prices!”
As you gear up for the start of school, make sure healthy snacking is on your to-do list. Kids need to snack, especially after school. Their growing, active bodies and brains need fuel more frequently throughout the day than adults. In fact, 20 to 30 percent of kids’ daily energy needs should come from snacks.
The price of gold (medals) has gone down. Hank Beal, Director of Adult Beverages here at Nugget Markets, takes you on a personal tour to discover some of the best values on Gold Medal Winners of this years State Fair.
Our team of wine stewards just returned from a mind-blowing weekend at Chateau St. Michelle in Washington, where everyone tasted more than a hundred Rieslings from all over the world. It was 3 days of tasting and learning, all dedicated to celebrating the amazing versatility and attributes of this noble white wine.
“It was a Riesling immersion, and we were loving it!” says Hank Beal, Director of Adult Beverages for Nugget Markets. “Many wines were tasted blind with a panel of experts who walked us through the wines, breaking down the unique characteristics and arriving at a conclusion of where the wine was from, Old World or New World area. They were almost always dead on.”
A huge shout out to Tiffany Manning of Rocklin! She took our Nugget Markets Price Survey at our Roseville Nugget Market and ended up July’s big winner of the $1,000 Nugget Markets gift card.
Tiffany compared our prices on 25 commonly purchased items, stacking up our prices to those of Bel Air. In Tiffany’s survey, Nugget Markets beat Bel Air’s prices by $16.00!
“I love shopping at Nugget,” says Tiffany. “The prices are great and their customer service is awesome!"
Audrey Lee-OSullivan took Nugget Markets Price Survey, comparing Nugget’s prices to Safeway’s, and she became June’s winner of Nugget Markets’ $1,000 gift card. Audrey’s survey showed that Nugget’s overall prices on 25 commonly purchased items beat Safeway’s prices by $19.76. All guests are invited to take the price survey, and everyone who takes the survey is automatically entered in the monthly drawing for a $1,000 Nugget Markets gift card. In 8 out of 10 price surveys, Nugget Markets beat the competition’s prices (Raley’s, Bel Air, and Safeway), and survey results are posted in every Nugget Market.
