It’s that time of year again—Sacramento’s Farm-to-Fork Festival is this Saturday! Join us in celebrating our area’s bounty of local food and drink, and the growers and producers who make it possible. This exciting event will feature all things local, from vendors, food and drink, to entertainment, activities and music.
Can you believe it? September 28 marks Nugget Markets’ 90th Anniversary! Time flies when you’re having fun, and we’ve certainly been doing that. See how it all started back in 1926, how we got to where we are now and some of our major milestones along the way!
At Nugget Markets, we not only love food, but also helping feed those in need in our community. As longstanding partners and supporters of various local food banks, Nugget Markets helps provide relief to those in need through donations of food and funds, event sponsorships and various donation drives we host in partnership with our guests and associates.

Where would we be without the land on which we live and grow our food? That’s the question The Center for Land-Based Learning is helping people answer, especially local youth and our next generation of farmers.

School’s back in session and we’re excited to ring in the new school year by continuing to support our local students, teachers, schools and educational foundations! Since 1926, Nugget Markets has been committed to supporting our community, with a special focus on youth education and empowerment.
You may have read back in 2015 how Nugget Markets started partnering with UC Davis to help reduce food waste and provide college students with fresh fruits and veggies through their Fruit & Veggie Up program. Nearly one full year later, we’re proud to say the program is still going strong and have some exciting updates to prove it!
