Popcorn Ball Pumpkins
Sweet, tangy, and frightfully fun, these spooky snacks are so easy, your kids will love making and eating them!
Ingredients
- 1 bag microwave popcorn, popped
- 1 cup walnuts
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 3 cups mini marshmallows
- 1 cup Tang
- Black licorice, cut into pieces (optional)
Preparation
Combine popcorn and walnuts in a large mixing bowl, then set aside.
Melt the butter in a pot over medium-low heat. Add the marshmallows, stirring constantly until melted. Pour over the porcorn mixture and stir to combine, then press into a lightly greased baking dish and let cool.
Scoop out about ½ cup of the mixture and roll it into a ball, then repeat with remaining mixture. If it is too sticky, you can coat your hands with cooking oil.
Sprinkle a generous amount of Tang on all sides of the pocorn balls, until heavily coated and orange. Decorate with licorice to make eyes, a mouth, or the stem of a pumpkin, if desired.
