Craving classic meatloaf? This simple recipe will give you a mouthwatering meal every time!
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup cubed bread (about 3 slices)
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ pound lean ground pork
- 1 egg, beaten
- ¼ cup minced onion
- 1¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
- ¼ teaspoon celery salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, combine the milk and bread and soak until fully absorbed. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well, but be careful not to overwork the mix or the meatloaf will become tough. If you want to check the level of seasoning, cook a small amount of the meatloaf mix in a skillet to taste, then adjust the seasonings as desired.
Shape finished meatloaf mixture into a log no more than 3 inches tall. Gently roll the loaf on a cutting board to smooth out any uneven parts, then transfer to a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper.
Bake uncovered for 45–60 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F. Rest 10–15 minutes before slicing.
